Volunteers needed to assist at the Brew at The Zoo fundraiser to benefit The Zoo in Forest Park. This 21+ event features unlimited craft beer samples (while supplies last) from local breweries, a home brew competition, live music, food trucks, games and, of course, animal interactions. The fundraiser supports the 200+ animals that call The Zoo their home, many of which have been deemed non-releasable by a wildlife rehabilitator for reasons relating to injury, illness, permanent disability, habituation to humans and other factors.
The AM shift runs 9:30-1:30 and PM runs 1:30-5:30. The event itself is 12-5.
Volunteers assist with set-up (AM), ID checks, wrist bands, handing out glasses and rack cards, giving out voting tokens for the competition, managing the raffle table, selling water and snacks, running ice to vendors, trash clean up, re-filling water stations and event break down (PM). Volunteers will receive a tasting glass to enjoy the event either before or after their volunteer shift.
